Purchase items that are produced from recycled post-consumer waste.

Reuse plastic or cloth bags for shopping, and retain plastic or glass bottles and jars for storage, or as flower vases.

Compost degradable materials, such as fruit and vegetable peels.

Donate used and unwanted items that are still in good condition to charity. For more valuable items, sell them online or at a local consignment shop.
